Mebel 2015 will welcome 700 companies from 26 countries

On 23-27 November 2015 Expocentre Fairgrounds will host the 27th edition of the largest international exhibition for furniture, fittings and upholstery in Russia and Eastern Europe – Mebel 2015.

This year Mebel welcomes about 700 companies from 26 countries. Germany will have a national pavilion.

The show will occupy 30,000 net sq m and consist of eight thematic sectors: Style – furniture made in Russia; InterStyle – classic and contemporary furniture from across the world; Comfort – residential upholstered and cabinet furniture, upholstery materials; Components – components and fittings for furniture production; Kitchen – World of Kitchen: furniture, household appliances and accessories; Office – office and commercial furniture; Dream – mattresses and fillers; and Decor – furniture and interior décor items.

Exhibitors include such well-known foreign companies as Grass, Blum (Austria), Lamigraf (Spain), S.C.I.C SRL, Giplast Group, Formenti & Giovenzana S.P.A. (Italy), Hranipex (the Czech Republic), Bekaert Textiles (Belgium), Hueck Rheinische GMBH, Dawon Hairs CO, Sandvik (Germany), Pohjanmaan Kaluste (Finland) and many others. Russian participants include 600 companies.

According to Chairman of the Mebel 2015 Organizing Committee and Vice Chairman of the Russian State Duma Sergey Zheleznyak, over 40 years Mebel has become a business card of the furniture industry. It actively promotes international cooperation while showcasing the best furniture, fittings and upholstery.

For the first time Mebel will be co-located with the first International Forum “Forest and Man 2015. Woodworking”. It was initiated by the Russian Union of Timber Manufacturers and Exporters and supported by the Government of the Russian Federation. The forum will be devoted to the most relevant issues of the woodworking and furniture industries.

President of the Russian Union of Timber Manufacturers and Exporters Miron Tatsun believes that the first International Forum “Forest and Man 2015. Woodworking” and the Mebel 2015 International Exhibition complement each other increasing the business and economic effect of both of these events.

As usual Mebel will be accompanied by many associated events for industry professionals. They will include forums, conferences, round tables and prestigious professional competitions.

Mebel 2015 is held by Expocentre ZAO with support from the Russian Ministry of Industry and Trade, Russian Union of Timber Manufacturers and Exporters, Association of Furniture and Woodworking Enterprises of Russia, Centrlesexpo OAO, and under auspices of the Russian Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

Mebel bears logos of UFI, the Global Association of the Exhibition Industry, and RUEF, the Russian Union of Exhibitions and Fairs.
