Golden Cabriole 2023 winners are named

EXPOCENTRE Fairgrounds hosted the Award ceremony of the Golden Cabriole National Award for Industrial Furniture Design.

The ceremony was held by Director General at the Association of Furniture and Woodworking Enterprises of Russia Timur Irtuganov. The ceremony was also attended by Chair of the Judges for the Golden Cabriole National Award, Head of the Furniture Design Department at Moscow State Stroganov Academy of Industrial and Applied Arts Lilia Makarova, Senior Lecturer of the Furniture Design Department at Moscow State Stroganov Academy of Industrial and Applied Arts Valeriy Nogaev, Sales and Marketing Director at Kastamonu, which is the general sponsor of the championship and Mebel, Mr. Cenbey Tosun, and Project Head of the Mebel International Exhibition Tatiana Samuseva.

Designer of Angstrem Ludmila Murylyova won the award in the Cabinet Furniture category for her project ‘Hozzy’. The jury named Elizaveta Trusova, designer of the Apriori furniture factory, the winner in the Upholstered Furniture category with her model ‘Liza’. In other nominations the following winners were named: Dmitry Korenkov, leading designer of Plytec OOO, for his project of the table ‘Cone’ for public spaces, Stanislav Skalsky, designer of the factory of designer furniture VK Cucina, for the design project using Kastamonu products, and Zlata Boyko, student of Moscow State Stroganov Academy of Industrial and Applied Arts, who presented the project ‘ARC’ in the Future Stars section.

The jury took a decision to name two winners in the Kitchen Furniture category. These are designer of the First Furniture Factory Alexey Ovchinnikov with the RITMO model, and designer of Angstrem Ekaterina Bulygina with the BLIZKO model.

On behalf of EXPOCENTRE, the winners of the Golden Cabriole award were congratulated by Project Head of the Mebel International Exhibition Tatiana Samuseva. She thanked the heads of the exhibiting companies for supporting the efforts of the organisers in creating a lively, active and useful event for both exhibitors and visitors. Tatiana Samuseva also presented a memorable diploma of EXPOCENTRE for successful business partnership to General Director of the First Furniture Factory Alexander Shestakov.
