Furniture makers and chipboard manufacturers meet
The panel on the Relevant Problems of the Board Industry, held within the online RusMebel Forum 2020 held as part of Mebel 2020, offered the industry experts an opportunity to discuss the system of interaction between manufacturers of wood boards and furniture companies. The forum was organised by the Association of Furniture and Woodworking Enterprises of Russia, and EXPOCENTRE AO.
The panel was moderated by General Director of the Association of Furniture and Woodworking Enterprises of Russia Timur Irtuganov. In his opening speech, he thanked EXPOCENTRE for the opportunity to arrange this online meeting. He expressed the general opinion that the industry was waiting for the revival of offline trade shows, where many issues were solved much faster in a face-to-face format.
The participants discussed the problems of wood boards deficiency in the Russian market. The practical benefit of such discussions is an opportunity to have a direct dialogue with all interested parties. This time, furniture makers tried to find common ground with board manufacturers on the problem of seasonal purchases of chipboards, and the role of dealers in the commercial relationship between manufacturers and consumers of chipboards.
