Mebel 2026 conference programme about industry prospects in 2027

02 / 10 / 2026

The furniture market has been shrinking for the second year in a row. Demand is falling, loans are expensive, preferential mortgages are being closed, and this summer thousands of sellers have been losing goods in marketplace warehouses. That is why, this year’s conference programme of Mebel will be built not around trends, but around practical issues such as where to get revenues in 2027 and how not to lose what is already there.

On 23–26 November, EXPOCENTRE will organise the Mebel 2026 conference programme at Crocus Expo. It will be dedicated to the entire chain of furniture business from woodworking to the sale of finished products to the end customer.

The programme will occupy four areas in Pavilion 3: Forest Dialogue (Hall 13), Progress Formula (Hall 14), and Business Formula and Design Formula (Hall 15). Participation in all events is free of charge with a visitor ID.

The 10th Russian Conference of Furniture Manufacturers is the industry’s main meeting of the year. It is organised by the Association of Furniture and Woodworking Enterprises of Russia and EXPOCENTRE. This year, the conference will open within the Mebel programme on November 23 at 11:00, and will be moderated by Timur Irtuganov, General Director at the Association of Furniture and Woodworking Enterprises of Russia.

The Conference on Furniture Business the Russian Way 2026. There Are No Customers in Furniture Companies, Sales Have Dropped, Money Has Run Out: What Will We Do in 2027? will take place on 23 November on the Progress Formula area. The event’s partner organiser is MIR. Furniture. Investments. Retail. Alexey Lopukhin, the company’s founder, will moderate it.

On 24 and 25 November, the Furniture Retail Festival will take place on the same area. Its organiser is FCProject. Valeria Zelinskaya and Maria Gagloeva, FCP Media, will be moderators. A year ago, festival participants argued whether marketplaces were a threat to a furniture manufacturer or a partner. This year, the question is more important: how to distribute sales between channels so that the failure of one channel does not stop business.

Together with the LDM equipment showroom, the program will include the first two-day Conference on Markets of Timber Products 2026, organiser by the ProDerevo portal, and moderated by Mikhail Dmitriev. The first day will be dedicated to the domestic market, the results of 2026 and the prospects for 2027. The second day will be about global markets: China, the Middle East and North Africa, Central Asia, and Russia's place in global competition. Another topic will be the forecast of prices for raw materials in 2027.

A regular marathon of lectures, discussions and trend tours from the ArchDialog agency–Design Hour–will take place on the Design Formula area and will be moderated by Svetlana Kotlukova.

The programme will be concluded with the award ceremony of the 22nd Golden Cabriole National Award for Industrial Furniture Design at 12.00 on 26 November.
