31st International Exhibition for Furniture, Fittings and Upholstery
Being one of the largest trade shows in Russia and Eastern Europe, Mebel is an annual event for professionals in the furniture industry. Every autumn, the world's leading furniture manufacturers and designers show new collections and the best pieces of furniture, generate sales leads and sign contracts on Mebel’s show floor.
The exhibition brings together manufacturers and distributers. It helps to see the state of the industry and identify the current furniture trends. The exhibits include a lot of new products which can be interesting to suppliers, retailers, design studios, architectural bureaus, construction companies, developers, business centres, hotels and corporate buyers of furniture.

Show Highlights
This year the Future Stars salon of designer furniture (Pavilion No.8, Hall 4), which was launched last year, has increased its floor space and offers products of many new designers.
The new special project Furnished Apartments will show fully finished and furnished apartments, which are a new promising trend in the new housing market. Its participants are First Furniture Factory, Grafskaya Kukhnya, Smolenskmebel, Stolplit, Chisty List, Concept Materials, Qmebel, Elegia and others. The project will be located in Pavilion No.2, Hall 4.
Events
Key topics of 2019 are development of export potential of Russian companies, issues of the woodworking and board industries, and attractive markets for furniture manufacturers. As usual a lot of events will be devoted to design.
The most relevant issues of furniture production will be discussed during the RusMebel Forum 2019. Efficiency in Today's Environment, which is organised by the Association of Furniture and Woodworking Enterprises of Russia and Expocentre AO.
The panel on Export as a Development Driver for the Furniture Industry will be organised by the Association of Furniture and Woodworking Enterprises of Russia, Russian Export Center AO, Russian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Expocentre AO.
The important 19th Forum of Directors of Small and Medium Enterprises "Furniture as a Business" will offer various analytical sessions, case studies, master classes and the Purchasing Centre for Retail Chains™.
The Association of Furniture and Woodworking Enterprises of Russia and Expocentre AO will hold panels on Furnished Apartments: a Necessary Element in the Real Estate Market and Development Prospects of the Board Industry in 2019–2021. FSC Russia organises the panel on certification in the Russian board and furniture industries: constrains and opportunities.
Expocentre AO and Artekey Eurasia OOO hold the PUSHKA International Forum on Innovations in Industrial Design. Archdialog offers design tours around the exhibition. The Furniture Franchising Salon includes workshops, organised by Expocentre AO and Mebelny Biznes Magazine. The event programme also includes lectures and master classes of experts in industrial design and interior design, as well as presentations of the participants in the Future Stars project. Various workshops will be held in the Design Lounge area (Pavilion No.8, Hall 2).
This year, Mebel introduces the WoodworkingSkills championship, organised by the Association of Furniture and Woodworking Enterprises of Russia, WorldSkills Russia and Expocentre AO. It is the first championship for young professionals of the furniture and woodworking industries, held according to WorldSkills standards. This large-scale competition will help to address such an important issue as training of qualified personnel for the industry's enterprises. It will be located in Pavilion No.2, Hall 5.
Mebel 2019 hosts the award ceremony for the winners of the 14th edition of the Russian Cabriole National Award for Furniture Design. Soyuzexpertiza ANO of the Russian Chamber of Commerce and Industry will hold the 15th International Competition in nominations Best Consumer Properties and Successful Promotion of High Quality Goods.
